A little intention is useful. So is leaving room to change your mind. Choose one thing you would love to see, then give the rest of the day a little freedom.

Look up from the map. Notice the light on a building, the sound of a courtyard, the small ritual happening at the next table. A place becomes more interesting when it has a chance to interrupt the plan.
